    We asked Veterans, their family members and those serving as a member of the RCMP or CAF for feedback to improve health benefit authorization and reimbursement processes. We wanted to know what was working, how well we were communicating, and what we can improve.

    We heard from a wide range of people who receive treatment benefits using their VAC, RCMP or CAF-issued Health Care Identification Card, with 211 completed responses – 189 English and 22 French. You provided us with excellent feedback on what works well for you and what could be improved in the health benefits authorization and reimbursement processes. Themes included focusing more on digital methods for communication and claims processing, simplifying processes for claims reimbursements, and providing increased clarity on eligibility requirements and treatment options.

    The information you provided to us is valuable. It is directly influencing the requirements and implementation of our next contract for health claims processing.
